Meet April Burrows.
April Burrows has been the Country Director at The Hunger Project Canada since 2017, after 2 years of being the interim Country Director. She has been working with NGOs and businesses for over 8 years in the field of organizational development, fundraising and business operations. Previously, she worked as a General Manager for a governance consulting agency that specialized in NGOs for over 10 years.
April, and her successful certified B Corporation, Flow Office Wisdom Inc., began investing in The Hunger Project Canada several years ago based on a values alignment with the focus on women’s empowerment. A true believer in the idea that raising women up will help to change the world for the better, April is thrilled to dedicate her time with an organization that sees this as a key part in ending world hunger.
April’s greatest strengths are in leadership and both organizational and personal development. She is an experienced facilitator, trainer, and certified coach. When she is not engaging in her work, April can be found hosting the Connected on Purpose podcast, dancing, singing or walking the trails with friends!
“Determination, energy, and courage appear spontaneously when we care deeply about something. We take risks that are unimaginable in any other context.” – Margaret J. Wheatley
