Meet Neil van Zyl.

Neil van Zyl, Junior Council Member

Neil Van Zyl has a BASc in Computer Engineering, with an option in Engineering Management & Entrepreneurship from the University of Ottawa. Currently, Neil works as an engineer in the Ottawa area.

Neil found the Hunger Project when he was looking for non-profits who focus on real impact around the world. When he first heard that the Hunger Project focused on solutions to hunger that were based on sustainability, social transformation, and empowerment, he was amazed. Training men and women to take action in their communities has a lasting and impactful effect. After all, who knows a community’s issues better than those living there? By supporting them to make their own solutions and providing them with assistance where they need is unique, and the most effective way of providing help.
